In 1999, 15 acres of
high elevation coffee were planted at our 2,400 ft. elevation making the ranch one
of the highest coffee producing farms in the Kona Coffee Belt area. Our
Estate Coffee is picked, milled, processed, and marketed from our 15 acre
farm only. In this single area the soil type is the same. The trees are
lightly irrigated with NO PESTICIDE USAGE

Why Estate Coffee Is Better
Common practices are to mix coffee from many
different farms to increase volume. Due to varying soil types, farming practices, and
climate, the final product becomes inconsistent. At Hualalai Ranch,
employees throughout a four month period hand pick only the ripest
top quality coffee cherries for our milling. This process along with the
high elevation location of our fields guarantee us a smooth, favorable, consistent drinking
coffee. Numerous tests have been done by the Kona Coffee
Council have proven that the higher elevation produces the most favorable
blends of coffees.
